MIDA, the first crafts fair in Italy
Every year, MIDA, the Florence International Crafts Fair, welcomes artisans and businesses from various sectors to the Fortezza da Basso to offer visitors an experience that celebrates the variety, richness, and quality of a sector that is both traditional and innovative, capable of generating ever-growing interest.

A unique history. Since 1931, in Florence
Founded in 1931 as the first crafts fair in Italy, MIDA has deep roots in the Florence and Tuscan territories. Still today, Florence and Tuscany represent the ideal place to promote, develop, and innovate in the field of artisanal crafts. Here, artisanal tradition and creativity have always played a fundamental role, both in the local economy and in the region's social and cultural fabric.
