Sunrise over Florence. The cathedral dome, Giotto’s bell tower and Palazzo Vecchio appear above tiled roofs. Colourful medieval flags spin in the air, signalling the start of the MIDA 2025 International Handicrafts Fair at the Fortezza da Basso. Inside, close-ups show artisans: a cheesemonger slicing pecorino, olive oil pouring from a bottle, a jeweller engraving metal, and a lamp shaped like an open book glowing in a seller’s hand. Visitors browse leather goods, framed prints, hand-thrown ceramics and Tibetan thangka cloths while listening to makers. Workshop scenes follow: guests knead clay, paint carnival masks and mix herbs amid red lighting and incense smoke. Smiles, tastings and gestures illustrate creativity and cultural exchange. The video ends on a slow-motion view of a shared painting table, then fades to the white “MIDA 2025” logo.
